Would you please introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey there my name is Ezra “EZRAKH” Herbert and I’m a creator working in the realms of music and the arts.

Musician, Model and Photographer is a beautiful mixture. What do you think in which ways these areas are complementary with each other and how does this reflect in your work?

I think these areas are related in a way because they all work to distill moments in time and hopefully stand the test of it. Furthermore music, modeling and photography all work with structure, composition and form. While the model uses the body to compose structure and form; the musician uses time, vibration and air to compose structure and form; and the photographer uses space, time and light to compose structure and form. The arts are all interrelated and I believe understanding the fundamentals assists in the creation of more beauty and splendor..

How did you get into music and do you want to transport a message, what do you want to express?

Music has always been an integral aspect of my life, both as a listener and a creative/performer. I don’t remember there being a moment when I decided to get into it per say. As early as I can remember I sang in choirs, then started playing instruments, then formed bands, then began solo production and songwriting etc… I think overall my message is that life is all there is, it has transitions but no antithesis, so live it up. Take detours, dive into the experiences. Live it how you want to, there’s no one way, it goes on and on and on.

Ezrakh, please tell our readers about the Shooting for the KONO! Original Moonstruck Label with Photographer Zachary Nystrom.

Shooting with Zach is always great and being able to partner with KONO! added even more to the experience. Zach and I know each other from my home state of NJ so having buddies from there come to the Southwest (New Mexico, currently) to shoot and explore the terrain is always fun. That particular day we were at Kahsa-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument in the Cochiti Pueblo (sovereign indigenous pueblo), a beautiful geological formation resulting from a volcanic eruption.

What do you think makes a good photographer?

I think some of the makings of a good photographer are vision (of course), patience, and ingenuity. I think the most skillful ones should be able to see and shed light on the things we don't see.

When you yourself take pictures, do you prefer digital or analog photography?

I don’t think I have a preference per say, I think I just appreciate good images. I think each format has its advantages and disadvantages. There’s a convenience and speed to using digital, however it can lack some of the feeling, depth and essence that analog offers.

Do you want to tell us about your upcoming projects?

Currently I’m very excited about the limited edition double LP vinyl of my album “Infinity: Sankopha & 87” which will be arriving in early spring. You can preorder and reserve your copy now via my website ezrakh.com.  I also have several new singles lined up for this year and a pop-up performance series planned for later in the year. I’ll also be doing creative direction for NJ based record label Thread Recordings.

Where can we see or hear more of your work?

You can stay updated via my social media (IG, Twitter etc..) @ezrakh or my website ezrakh.com . Furthermore my music is on all streaming sites (Apple, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube, Bandcamp etc..)
